Cryotherapy, more simply known as "cold therapy,” exposes your body to very cold temperatures for a short time. The cold helps with inflammation, reduces your pain and helps you recover more quickly. Comparable to an ice bath, the supercooling of the body can be used in many different ways, such as  Whole Body Cryotherapy, Compression Sleeves, Localized Cryotherapy and CryoSkin.

Benefits of Cryotherapy include but are not limited to improving circulation, boosting metabolism, easing pain after a workout, and improving symptoms of asthma, anxiety, chronic pain and fibromyalgia, depression, migraines, multiple sclerosis and different types of arthritis. Cryotherapy can even assist in weight loss management and insomnia.

Cryotherapy can be used to treat a variety of skin conditions and some cancers, including prostate and liver cancer. This therapy can treat tissue externally (on the skin) and internally (inside the body).

This treatment can also be called cryoablation.

Benefits of Cryotherapy

Stimulate Collagen Production

Collagen is the number one protein the body uses to repaid all muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments.

Increase Metabolism

Post-treatment, the body will undergo a metabolic reaction in an effort to warm itself back up, burning calories to do so.

Lodi Cryo Therapy

Whole Body Cryotherapy is the exposure of a person's skin to temperatures of at least -166 degrees Fahrenheit for a short time (3 minutes or less). At this extreme temperature, the body activates a systemic response related to exposure to the cold including severe vasoconstriction (to keep the core temperature from dropping), followed by vasodilation after the procedure. Individuals who have experienced Whole Body Cryotherapy have reported many benefits, including but not limited to the following: reduction in inflammation and recovery period following strenuous exercise, toning and smoothing of the skin, stress relief and increased energy.

Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) is the evolution of cold therapy, much more effective than local applications of cold, much more efficient, beneficial and comfortable than whole body immersion in an ice bath. By definition, WBC is a short-term exposure of the entire body to extremely low temperatures to trigger the body’s most powerful mechanisms of self-protection, self-recovery and self-rejuvenation. Cryotherapy treatment implies contact of uncovered skin with dry cold air ranging in temperature between -166 F and -274 F (-110 C and -170 C) for 2.5 to 3 minutes.

Whole Body Cryotherapy is not a medical treatment and has not been tested or approved by the FDA. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
